Intermountain Health's St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, is launching a new outpatient pharmacy.

We seek a Pharmacy Technician who wants more than a role, helping to shape patient care from day one and work closely with pharmacists and other technicians. As an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician, you will support daily operations, develop workflows, and ensure safe, efficient dispensing of prescriptions while delivering excellent patient care in a retail-like outpatient

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of approved drugs, controlled substances, and investigational agents.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining appropriate records as required by regulation and policy.
• Utilizes pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders for dispensing and compounds medications as appropriate to practice site.
• Attains supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist(s) and knows when tasks must be verified.
• Accurately fills and maintains medication supplies including controlled substances inventories and 340B/Charging management.
• Communicates with caregivers regarding responsibilities and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
