Qualifications

• Requires completion of Kaiser Outpatient Pharmacy Technician Program
• Knowledge of current drug forms, dosage strengths, generic & trade name equivalents
• Understanding Federal & State laws/regulations for pharmaceutical services
• Ability to learn and operate pharmacy computer systems and equipment
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 1–50 lbs
• Ability to read, understand and transcribe pharmaceutical information
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must pass entrance exam and background check

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, may perform packaging, manipulative, repetitive, and other non-discretionary tasks
• Place products into containers and affix labels
• Packaging and repackaging
• Perform other duties as required
