Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in California is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist under direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist in outpatient settings across multiple Kaiser facilities. You will package, label, and repack medications, and support accurate dispensing.

Requirements include completing the Kaiser Outpatient Pharmacy Technician Program, knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws, ability to operate the pharmacy computer system, and passing an entrance exam and background check.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift 1–50 lbs

Basic Qualifications:

Experience

Education

• High School diploma or GED equivalent

License, Certification, Registration

• Pharmacy Technician License (California)

Additional Requirements:

• Successful completion of the Kaiser Outpatient Pharmacy Technician Program required
• Working knowledge of current drug forms, dosage strengths, generic & trade name equivalents
• Knowledge of Federal & State laws / regulations regarding the provision of pharmaceutical services
• Ability to learn & operate the pharmacy computer system & other equipment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time w/ frequent bending, stooping, lifting & reaching
• Ability to read, understand & transcribe pharmaceutical information
• Lift or transport items of 1 - 50 lbs
• Consistently demonstrates the knowledge, skills, abilities, & behaviors necessary to provide superior & culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members & to customers, contracted providers, & vendors
