Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) seeks an outpatient CHC Pharmacy Technician to prepare and distribute medications, operate automated systems, manage inventory, and perform QA audits. You will assist in staff training under supervisors to uphold BMC’s mission of exceptional, equitable care for all.

The position supports customer service, maintains pharmacy records, and participates in training. Requires MA Board registration, national certification, and 2–3 years of pharmacy experience; per diem

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern with the MA Board of Pharmacy by the hire date (Pharmacy Interns are not required to hold CPhT certification)
• Must also have national certification from PTCB or exCPT, or within 6 months from start date
• Requires 2-3 years' experience with at least one year pharmacy related experience. 3+ years' experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing product for use, including packaging, repacking, compounding, bar-coding, or any other manipulation.
• Performing medication preparation in accordance with law and hospital policy, including double-check system.
• Assists in inventory control (receiving, stocking, replenishment) and storing product per regulations.
