Requires high school diploma or equivalent, MA Pharmacy Tech registration, CPT/PTCB or exCPT certification, and at least four years of related experience. Part-time schedule in a Retail Pharmacy department.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the MA Board of Pharmacy.
  • National certification (CPT) from Pharmacy Tech Certification Board (PTCB) or Exam of Certified Pharmacy Techs (exCPT).
  • Requires minimum of four years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Being present and available within assigned area to capture/support patient discharge prescription requests/needs.
  • Coordinates prescriptions sent to the BMC outpatient pharmacy, processed, adjudicated by insurance, and prepared for dispensing.
  • Acts as an ambassador for Pharmacy Services with professional demeanor and excellent patient interactions.
  • Ensures prescription processing tasks are accurate and reviewed before dispensing.
  • Participates in quality assurance responsibilities and complies with hospital standards and infection control.
