Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician I for the Outpatient Pharmacy DOB. The role involves data entry, prescription preparation, and collaboration with pharmacists to ensure accurate dispensing and excellent patient care.

Must hold MA Pharmacy Technician registration by hire date and national certification (PTCB or exCPT) within 6 months. Full-time, on-site position with a strong emphasis on training and growth opportunities at BMC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• PTCB or exCPT national certification preferred/within 6 months.
• Prior pharmacy experience or internship is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Performs prescription data entry and transcription; resolves third-party issues; maintains patient confidentiality.
• Prepares prescription orders; retrieves, counts, measures and compounds as directed; verified by a pharmacist.
• Supports pharmacists to ensure correct dispensing and high-quality patient care at the point of sale.
