Job summary

Vanderbilt Health TVC Outpatient Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in preparing, dispensing and distributing medications. This role emphasizes inventory control and customer service across multiple service-lines, including retail and mail-order.

Open to Registered or Certified Pharmacy Technicians (PTCB or NHA). Hours are Monday–Friday 9:30am–6:00pm with no weekends; retail/outpatient experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• LIC-Pharmacy Technician - Tennessee certification is required.
• Relevant work experience is preferred.
• Graduate of an approved discipline specific program.
• Less than 1 year of experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
• Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
• Performs activities as directed by Pharmacists and/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with laws and hospital policies.
• Delivers outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
