Job summary
Froedtert Health in Milwaukee is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to coordinate daily operations of the pharmacy technician staff at the assigned location. You will serve as a daily resource for technicians and support the pharmacist in processing medication orders and monitoring drug therapy.
The role may involve procuring, measuring, compounding, counting, and delivering medications under supervision, with shifts 6:00am-11:00pm and weekend rotation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required. Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is required within 6 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates the daily operations of the pharmacy technician staff at the assigned location.
- Acts as a daily resource for the technicians and provides guidance on technical and operational information.
- Provides technical and clerical assistance to the pharmacist in processing medication orders and monitoring drug therapy.
- May procure, measure, compound, count, and deliver medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
