Job summary

Intermountain Health St. Mary's Regional Hospital Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy seeks an Outpatient Clinical Pharmacist to help launch a new ambulatory pharmacy in Grand Junction, Colorado.

You will support daily operations, shape workflows, and collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager, pharmacists, and technicians to deliver safe, patient-centered care. The role emphasizes improving workflows, pharmacy operations, and clinical services within a growing outpatient program, with emphasis on teamwork

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
• License to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy in the state of practice.
• Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
• Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs

Responsibilities

• Reviews patients' medication orders for allergy interactions, duplication of therapy, appropriateness of drug therapy, and drug-drug interactions; makes interventions to optimize medication use.
• Oversees and/or participates in ensuring medications are prepared and delivered timely to care areas.
• Provides counseling to patients and promotes quality medication education and adherence.
• Supervises interns, technicians, and support personnel; provides clinical consultation to health professionals.
• Takes initiative to solve problems including equipment, maintenance, drug availability, staffing, and patient care concerns.
• Identifies improvement opportunities to streamline processes and enhance patient satisfaction; participates in departmental meetings
