Job summary

UVMMC - Medical Center - Main Campus is seeking a Pharmacist to assure appropriateness of drug therapy and maintain patient medication records for inpatients and outpatients at the Burlington facility.

The role supports the Outpatient Pharmacy and may require stepping in for Manager duties as needed. Vermont license is required; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred and ASHP residency or equivalent experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree from ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy required.
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
• ASHP accredited Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience preferred.
• Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Vermont

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriateness of drug therapy and maintain all necessary records.
• In the absence of a Manager, assume essential responsibilities and perform duties of the Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Pharmacist assures the appropriateness of drug therapy as described in the position accountabilities. The pharmacist is responsible for ensuring that the medication needs of inpatients and outpatients are accurately met and for maintaining all necessary records. In the absence of a Manager, a Pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the Manager.

EDUCATION

Bachelor of Science Degree from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy required. Doctor of Pharmacy Degree preferred. ASHP accredited Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience preferred. Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Vermont

EXPERIENCE

Two years clinical pharmacist experience in a health system preferred.
