Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II who will assist licensed pharmacists in preparing prescriptions for Pediatric, Adult, and Geriatric patients. Responsibilities include entering prescription data for pharmacist verification, cashiering as needed, and restocking automated dispensing systems while maintaining quality documentation.

The role also involves inventory management, orientation of new technicians, supporting pharmacists to ensure productivity and efficiency, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with two years hospital/retail pharmacy tech experience.
• Completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy technician-training program.
• Grady Health System externship with recommendation from Grady preceptor.
• Grady cross-training program with recommendation from Grady preceptor and related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist a licensed pharmacist in preparation of prescriptions.
• Enter prescription information into the computer system under pharmacist verification.
• Restock automated dispensing systems and document information for Quality Control.
• Provide patients with outstanding customer service and assistance.
