Job summary

Penn Medicine is a leading academic medical center focused on patient care, research, and education. Pharmacists here review prescriptions, monitor patients, and educate on therapy while supervising interns and technicians in a collaborative hospital setting.

Qualified candidates hold a PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy, PA licensure or eligibility, immunization certification, and a record of good standing with federal programs; retail experience is a plus. A sign-on bonus up to $10K is available.

Qualifications

• B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm D required.
• Current Pharmacist licensure or eligible to reciprocate in the State of Pennsylvania required.
• Immunization certification through an accredited organization American Pharmacists Association (APhA).
• A health care provider in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal/state programs (not excluded).
• Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and evaluates medications to ensure safe, effective therapy and dosing.
• Reviews prescriptions and suggests alternate therapies when appropriate with documentation.
• Prepares and dispenses medications per professional guidelines and state laws.
• Advises providers and patients on medication contents, actions, and interactions.
• Participates in medication safety programs and reports errors to improve practice.
