Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care in the Gonda 15 Surgical Services Outpatient Procedure Center. The RN coordinates pre/post op care, performs moderate sedation under direction, and educates patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires an RN license, BLS, and at least one year of RN experience; cross-training in related areas may occur.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA; one year of professional RN experience required.
• For RN start after April 1, 2020 must provide documentation of BSN within five years of hire.
• Strong preference for experience within Surgical Services/PACU and ability to cross-train to other areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the outpatient setting and educate patients and families.
• Coordinate pre/post-op care and provide moderate sedation under direction of the Anesthesiologist or proceduralist.
• Lead and mentor colleagues, participate in quality improvement, and adapt to flexible scheduling.
