Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a Physical Therapist to determine diagnoses and create comprehensive plans of care. You will implement treatment plans, supervise PT assistants, and ensure adherence to standards and insurance guidelines.

The role involves engaging with physicians to expand referrals and participate in ongoing clinical quality initiatives. A Doctorate in Physical Therapy and PT licensure are preferred, with pelvic patient experience a plus.

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy required/licensure as PT preferred.

The anticipated minimum pay rate for this position is $36/hour

Pay Range: $66,268.80 - $123,281.60

• Determines physical therapy diagnosis and establishes a plan of care, making recommendations for referral if treatment is needed outside the scope of physical therapist practice.
• Designs and implements treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards, recommended techniques, modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
• Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills and evaluates muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.
• Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extension of clinical expertise to the community.
• Oversees the care provided by physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards.
• Participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.
• Documents and charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department/hospital policy and procedures.
• Participates in marketing to physicians and physician practices to build referral relationships.
• Performs evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards.
• Monitors patient response and progress to treatment, modifying the treatment plan as appropriate.

Education and Experience

• Doctorate [Preferred] Field of Study: in Physical Therapy
• Work Experience: Experience in Treating Pelvic Patients [Preferred]
• Additional Information: Education requirements for this position are determined by the licensing or certification standards set forth by the relevant certifying body. Applicants must possess the level of education mandated for eligibility to obtain and maintain the required license or certification.
