Job summary

Families First Pediatrics in Utah seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for a part-time role at our West Jordan location. You will perform triage assessment, patient guidance, and collaborate with clinicians to ensure safe, efficient pediatric care.

The RN will handle triage calls, document in EHR, manage lab results, and support clinical staff. Requires Utah RN license, CPR/BLS, and pediatric experience; schedule Thursdays and Fridays and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Utah.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS required.
• Strong assessment and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage & patient communication: Manage nurse triage calls and portal messages using pediatric protocols. Assess symptoms, determine urgency, provide home care guidance, escalate emergent concerns, document in EHR, review prescription refills and lab results.
• Clinical support: Assist Providers with urgent patient needs, communicate lab results and treatment plans, assist with in-clinic triage, perform blood draws and specimen collection, administer IV fluids and meds as ordered, monitor patients during IV therapy and document responses.
• Team collaboration: Work with Clinic Managers, Care Coordinators, and MAs; communicate safety concerns; support onboarding of new clinical staff.
• Patient education: Provide education regarding medications, red flag symptoms, and follow-up care.
