Saint Peter's Healthcare System is seeking an Outpatient Pediatric Occupational Therapist for a part-time role in New Jersey. The position requires a master’s or doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy and a current New Jersey license or eligibility.

The candidate will evaluate pediatric patients, develop age-appropriate treatment plans, and collaborate with medical staff. Experience in pediatric rehabilitation is preferred; NDT certification is a plus but not required.

Outpatient Pediatric Occupational Therapist Part-Time

Pediatric Therapy

The Outpatient Pediatric Occupational Therapist Part-Time will:

• Evaluates and assesses neonate, pediatric and adolescent patients with neurodevelopmental and orthopedic diseases and/or disabilities to determine their level of function.
• Develops and performs therapeutic treatment programs that reflect age and developmentally appropriate activities and documents findings.
• Communicates and works closely with Medical Staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Participates in clinical education programs and departmental program development in assigned areas.
• Practices in accordance with professional Code of Ethics.

This position is 20 hours a week, flexible schedule, with one evening shift going until 7:00 PM required a week.

Requirements

• Requires a masters or doctoral degree, graduate of an entry-level masters or doctorate program in Occupational Therapy from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).
• Requires a current New Jersey State license and registration in Occupational Therapy or eligibility.
• Previous experience preferred; especially in Pediatric Rehabilitation.
• Requires analytical ability, use of independent judgment and sufficient interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with patients, parents, caregivers, students, therapists and other healthcare professionals.
• NDT certification preferred but not necessary.

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
