Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed OT in Illinois per the posted qualifications.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• BLS within 30 days by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to perform patient transfers with assistance as needed.
• Maintains safe body mechanics to reduce injury risk.
• Educates patients, families and staff using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Performs examinations with reliable/valid methods; documents plans of care.
• Collaborates with medical team, documents progress and discharge plans.
• Provides supervision to COTA and rehab technicians.
• Communicates patient status and discharge recommendations clearly.
