Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold BLS certification within 30 days.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to perform patient transfers with assistance as needed.
• Maintains safe body mechanics and develops a plan of care integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge.
• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and other health care providers.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine OT diagnoses and outcomes of care.
• Performs examinations and selects appropriate assessment methods.
• Screens patients to determine need for therapy services.
• Documents evaluations and plans of care per department policy.
• Supervises COTA and rehab technicians per regulations.
• Communicates discharge recommendations and equipment needs to the medical team.
