Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Michigan is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for our outpatient clinic. You will provide one-on-one rehabilitative care, develop and adjust treatment plans, and work with a collaborative therapy team to improve patient independence.

The role requires a OT degree, state licensure, CPR certification, and at least one year of experience. You will assess progress, discharge planning, and communicate with families and the treatment team to

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted OT license in the state practicing.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Minimum of one year’s work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological diagnoses preferred.
• Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interaction.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds; moving, lifting, or transferring of patients up to 100 pounds with safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences.
• Perform discharge evaluations, make recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referrals and education resources.
• Communicate patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, patient and family.
• Communicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration and coordinate care.
