Job summary

Ardent Health Services’ BSA Outpatient Therapy Services in Amarillo, TX seeks a day shift, full-time Occupational Therapist to join our outpatient rehab team.

You will assess, plan, and implement therapy for patients of all ages, promote independence in daily living, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and maintain accurate documentation. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient education, and adapting home environments to support progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• NBCOT certification.
• State licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Preferred: Doctorate in OT; acute care rehab experience; EMR proficiency; evidence-based practice familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and provide rehabilitative and therapeutic services to patients of all ages, focusing on independence in daily living and work activities.
• Evaluate physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities using standardized assessments and clinical observation.
• Identify barriers to ADLs and establish goals for therapy.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and use therapeutic techniques to improve function.
• Educate patients and families on strategies, adaptive equipment, and home modification needs.
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate progress to physicians and care teams.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and participate in case conferences.
