Job summary

Innovative Therapy Concepts, together with Texas Orthopaedic Associates, seeks a Physical Therapist to join the outpatient orthopedic team in Dallas. You will assess and treat a diverse caseload of upper/lower extremity and spine patients in an outpatient setting, with emphasis on restoring function, reducing pain, and preventing disability.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• Must have a valid Physical Therapist license in the state.
• New graduates welcome; clinical education and mentorship provided.
• Strong communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Review physician referral and patient condition to determine PT treatment.
• Test and measure strength, range of motion, and functional capacity; document findings.
• Plan and write treatment programs based on evaluation data.
• Administer manual exercises to improve function and mobility.
• Administer therapeutic exercises to improve strength, ROM, flexibility, and cardiovascular function.
• Instruct and motivate patients to perform activities and use assistive devices as needed.
• Consult with physicians and other clinicians to optimize care.
• Supervise assistants or students where applicable.
• Plan and conduct lectures and training for staff and community groups.
