Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide outpatient orthopedics care, using functional exercise, manual therapy, and modalities to restore function. You will evaluate patients, establish goals, educate patients and families, coordinate discharge planning, and collaborate with nurses, physicians and therapists across our Connecticut locations.

CT license required or active CT temporary license at hire; new graduates welcomed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Open to new graduates; CT PT license required or active CT temporary license at hire.
• Previous PT experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patient function, including strength, balance and mobility.
• Establish measurable goals and implement treatment plans.
• Deliver modalities, therapeutic exercise and manual therapy as prescribed.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment and home programs.
• Coordinate discharge planning and refer to community resources as needed.
• Supervise PT students and rehabilitation staff as assigned.
