Florida Orthopaedic Institute (FOI) is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for outpatient therapy across our Tampa Bay locations. You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients recover from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical procedures, and musculoskeletal conditions, in a fast-paced clinic.

The ideal candidate graduates from an accredited PTA program, holds an active Florida PTA license, CPR, and demonstrates strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Active Florida PTA license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Compassionate, patient-focused, and motivated to help people achieve rehab goals.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Providing individualized patient treatments as outlined in the Physical Therapist’s plan of care.
• Documenting each visit with treatment notes, progress updates, and patient assessments.
• Instructing patients in exercise programs, body mechanics, and safety use of assistive devices.
• Guiding patients through gait training and mobility exercises.
• Communicating patient status changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Serving as a clinical instructor and mentor for PTA students.
• Supporting the therapy team and clinic operations as needed.
