Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Outpatient Oncology Clinical Pharmacist to join its oncology/infusion pharmacy team. This role provides clinical services both virtually and onsite to high-volume ambulatory oncology pharmacies across the Chicagoland area, with onsite work in Downers Grove, IL and other locations including Aurora and Libertyville.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years’ outpatient oncology experience; BCOP is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in adult outpatient oncology preferred.
• Board Certified in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) preferred but not required.
• Licensed in state of practice or eligible for reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Oversees patient pharmaceutical care, reviews literature, and designs therapy regimens.
• Counsels patients and caregivers on medications, adverse effects, and adherence.
• Designs and monitors regimens using biomedical literature and formulary policies.
• Reviews medication orders and participates in emergency management when needed.
• Supports medication safety and quality improvement activities.
