Job summary

UNC Health Cancer Care – Cary is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our hematology/oncology team. The APP will deliver comprehensive outpatient care in a team‑based model alongside oncologists, hematologists, infusion services, and care staff.

The role emphasizes collaborative, patient‑centered care with no after‑hours or weekend calls, an average workload of about 12 patients per day, and opportunities to participate in oncology‑related research or quality

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate‑level Advanced Practice Provider program.
• Current NC APRN/PA licensure and board certification as per state requirements.
• Experience in hematology/oncology preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage outpatient hematology/oncology patients in a clinic setting.
• Conduct follow‑up visits and disease management for cancer patients.
• Perform pre‑infusion assessments for chemotherapy/immunotherapy.
• Collaborate with physicians, infusion services, and care managers.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
