Job summary

Citizens Health is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist Assistant for its Rehabilitation department in Colby, KS. The OTA will work under an Occupational Therapist to maximize patient function in outpatient settings.

The ideal candidate is licensed in Kansas, with CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days, and a commitment to evidence-based care. Outpatient clinic hours are 7 AM to 6 PM, with compensation dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OTA program and eligible for licensure.
• Must have current license, certification or registration with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
• Current CPR certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by performing the duties of a staff Occupational Therapy Assistant as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Complete necessary documentation of patient conditions, reactions, and responses to treatment in accordance with standards of practice.
• Communicate with physicians and hospital staff regarding patient progress, problems and plans.
• Attend departmental meetings and participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
• Maintain equipment in proper working order and adapt equipment to meet patient needs.
