Job summary

Westminster Suncoast in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our outpatient therapy team. This full-time role will split hours between Westminster Suncoast and Westminster Palms, reporting to the Director of Out-Patient Therapy.

Responsibilities include assisting with resident evaluations, implementing care plans under OT supervision, documenting progress, and supporting discharge planning with accurate billing records.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from an AOTA accredited program.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in states that regulate the Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and residents in multi-faceted systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor resident progress and communicate with the OT.
• Carry out established resident care plans and goals set by the OT.
• Assist the OT during resident evaluations.
• Maintain documentation of resident activities and billing.
• Perform home assessments and discharge-related screenings as directed.
