Westminster Suncoast, part of Westminster Communities of Florida, in St. Petersburg, seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work under the Director of Therapy in a full-time role.

You will support resident care plans, assist with evaluations, and maintain therapy documentation in a dynamic senior living setting. Qualified candidates hold an AOTA-accredited Associate Degree and licensure or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from an AOTA accredited program.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in states that regulate the Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Utilizes effective time management skills; ability to work in multi-faceted systems and interact with staff and residents.

Responsabilités

• Monitor resident’s progress and communicate with the Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Carry out established resident’s Care Plan and goals as designated by the OT.
• Assist the OT during resident evaluations.
• Maintain documentation in the system of resident’s activities, record progress and billing activities.
• Perform Resident’s Home Assessment as part of the discharge process as directed by the OT.
• Perform Resident’s screening during the admission process and quarterly & annual screening to determine the need for therapy as directed by the OT.

We are currently searching for an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) This position reports to the Director of Therapy.

Schedule: Full-time position.

This position is responsible for:
