Westminster Suncoast in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our outpatient therapy team. This full-time role will split hours between Westminster Suncoast and Westminster Palms, reporting to the Director of Out-Patient Therapy.

Responsibilities include assisting with resident evaluations, implementing care plans under OT supervision, documenting progress, and supporting discharge planning with accurate billing records.

Formación

• Associates Degree from an AOTA accredited program.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in states that regulate the Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and residents in multi-faceted systems.

We are currently searching for an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) This position reports to the Director of Out-Patient Therapy.

Schedule: Full-time position. Will split hours between two facilities, Westminster Suncoast and Westminster Palms.

This position is responsible for:

• Monitor resident’s progress and communicate with the Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Responsible for carrying out established resident’s Care Plan and goals as designated by the OT.
• Assist the OT during resident evaluations.
• Maintain documentation in system of resident’s activities, record progress and document billing activities.
• Perform Resident’s Home Assessment as part of the discharge process as directed by the OT.
• Perform Resident’s screening during the admission process and quarterly & annual screening to determine the need for therapy as directed by the OT.

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree from an AOTA accredited program.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in states that regulate the Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and residents.
