Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Westminster Suncoast in St. Petersburg, FL. The role supports the OT, helps implement care plans, and ensures documentation accuracy. Full-time schedule with competitive pay and benefits.

As part of a mission-driven provider, you will collaborate across care teams, document progress, and contribute to high-quality rehabilitation services for residents in a Life Plan Community setting.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an AOTA accredited program.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in states that regulate the Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and residents.

Responsibilities

• Monitor resident’s progress and communicate with the Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Carry out established resident’s Care Plan and goals as designated by the OT.
• Assist the OT during resident evaluations.
• Maintain documentation in the system of resident’s activities, record progress and document billing activities.
• Perform resident’s home assessment as part of the discharge process as directed by the OT.
• Perform resident’s screening during the admission process and quarterly & annual screening to determine the need for therapy as directed by the OT.

We are currently searching for an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) This position reports to the Director of Therapy.

Schedule: Full-time position.
