Lexington Health, a comprehensive network of care in West Columbia, SC, seeks an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat individuals, preventing, restoring, and maximizing function after disease or trauma.

Minimum qualifications include an SC OT license and CPR certification. Responsibilities cover patient evaluation, treatment planning, direct therapy, documentation, and collaboration with the care team.

Formación

• Minimum Education: Graduate of an OT program approved by ACOTE or equivalent.
• Required Certifications/Licensure: Current and active Occupational Therapist license by the State of South Carolina; CPR Certification.

Responsabilidades

• Provides direct occupational therapy patient care upon referral by a physician, or advanced practice provider.
• Demonstrates age specific competence to provide developmentally appropriate care/treatment for age groups as listed (Infant to Geriatric).
• Evaluates patients using occupational therapy tests and measurements such as muscle testing and activities of daily living analysis.
• Develops occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Administers occupational therapy treatments, such as upper extremity strengthening, splint fabrication, sensory integration, and daily living activities training.
• Documents patient treatment data and discharge summaries.
• Instructs patients and families in home exercise programs.
• Represents department and communicates with the interdisciplinary team.
• Consults with other professionals regarding patients' plan of care.
• Performs other duties as assigned and participates in in-service classes.
