Job summary

UTHealth Houston's Spine Center in Houston, TX seeks an Advanced Practice Provider, either an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, to join our full-time team delivering outpatient neurosurgical and spine care. The APP will work with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to evaluate, treat, and support patients throughout their care journey.

Candidates must hold current Texas licensure as RN/NP or PA, possess BLS certification, and have a Master's degree in Nursing (NP track)

Qualifications

• Current Texas licensure as RN and APRN-NP for NP track, or PA licensure for PA track.
• BLS certification required for both roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care assistance in a clinic or hospital setting under physician supervision.
• Coordinate and implement patient care plans and follow-up as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Order, interpret, and respond to pertinent studies and diagnostics.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and health promotion.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and other clinicians to support recovery.
