Qualifications

• Current Ohio license as NP or PA is required.
• National certification as NP or PA, depending on discipline.
• DEA license or eligibility.
• First Assist certification required for NPs.
• BLs and ACLS required.
• Surgical first assist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient evaluations for spinal and cranial neurosurgical conditions.
• Assist neurosurgeons in the operating room as a first assist.
• Perform pre-operative assessments and optimization, and assist in surgical planning.
• Manage post-operative care, follow-up visits, and care coordination.
• Review diagnostic studies and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and recovery expectations.
• Support call coverage and address urgent patient needs as required.
