Job summary

Medical City Denton is seeking an Outpatient Neuro Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated care team. This role focuses on helping patients regain independence after illness or injury, with collaboration among physicians and therapists.

You will evaluate needs, develop plans, deliver hands-on therapy, monitor progress, and educate families. A Texas OTR license and BLS are required; sign-on bonus up to $10k may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience with geriatric and adult patients with neurological and orthopedic conditions.
• Texas OTR license, BLS required, AHA or ARC.
• (OTR) Occupational Therapist Registered, or (OT) Occupational Therapist.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Bachelor's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to promote healing and independence.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and document outcomes.
• Educate patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to ensure safe, seamless transitions of care.
• Lead by example and uphold the organization’s mission and standards.
