Job summary

Medical City Denton, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an Acute Care Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized plans, and deliver hands-on therapy tailored to geriatric and adult goals while supporting recovery and independence.

Shift is Monday through Friday with 7–10 hour days and rotating weekends. Texas OTR license and BLS are required, with a sign-on bonus up to $10k available.

Qualifications

• Experience with geriatric and adult patients with neurological and orthopedic conditions.
• Texas OTR license; BLS required; AHA or ARC.
• OTR or OT credentialing as applicable.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Bachelor's Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop therapy plans with physicians and the care team.
• Deliver skilled, evidence-based interventions to promote healing and independence.
• Monitor progress, adjust plans, and document outcomes thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families to build understanding and engagement.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners for seamless transitions of care and patient experience.
• Lead by example, mentoring therapy assistants or students and upholding HCA values.
