Job summary

Center for Human Development (CHD) Park Street Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support. The MA will perform phlebotomy, EKGs, spirometry and assist during patient visits, ensuring accurate charting and smooth patient flow.

The role requires graduation from an accredited MA program, CMA/RMA/CCMA certification, and prior outpatient experience. Competitive on-site benefits include dental, health and life insurance, paid time off and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Certification or registration (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience performing phlebotomy, EKGs, and spirometry.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws; properly label, process, and prepare specimens.
• Conduct 12-lead EKGs, ensure proper electrode placement, and document results for provider review.
• Administer and document spirometry testing following established clinical guidelines.
• Perform noninvasive procedures including vital signs, rooming patients, point-of-care testing, pulse oximetry, and screenings.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during exams and minor procedures.
• Administer injections and immunizations as permitted by scope of practice.
• Maintain infection control standards and respond to medical emergencies.
• Accurately document clinical information in the EHR; manage prior authorizations and medical refill requests.
