Job summary

Children's Health in Dallas seeks a Medical Assistant to support outpatient care in the Float Pool. You will prepare patients, record vitals, room patients, assist with examinations, collect specimens, and perform point-of-care testing under physician supervision. The on-site role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m. Responsibilities include front-desk tasks, insurance processes, and patient education in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or MA program completion required.
• Current Medical Assistant certifications.

Responsibilities

• ALL MEDICAL ACTS PERFORMED BY A MEDICAL ASSISTANT ARE PURSUANT TO DELEGATION BY AND UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A PHYSICIAN.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments and procedures; collect data, vital signs, and documents in EHR.
• Perform point of care testing and collect specimens.
• Assist with examinations, treatments and procedures.
• Front desk support including scheduling, registrations, and insurance-related tasks.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Accredited Medical Assistant program completion
