A leading urgent care provider is seeking a full-time entry-level Health Care Provider in Burke, Virginia. The role involves providing general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider, including obtaining patient vitals and medical history, administering treatments, and ensuring accurate documentation. Candidates should have an associates degree or equivalent and preferred certifications in medical assisting. Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.
• AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and prepare the patient for a physical exam.
• Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients.
• Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and timely.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Draw blood and prepare labs for processing.
• Perform laboratory tests and equipment maintenance.
• Respond to all lab messages.
• Ensure patient immunizations are documented accurately.
