Job summary

A leading urgent care provider in the United States seeks to hire a medical professional who will provide general medical care in an outpatient clinic. Responsibilities include obtaining patient vitals and history, administering treatments and medications, ensuring lab tests accuracy, and maintaining thorough documentation. Qualified candidates will have an associates degree or equivalent experience, with a preference for AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants. Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Six months to one-year related experience and/or training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit.
• Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients.
• Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and timely.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Draw blood and prepare labs for processing.
• Perform laboratory tests and equipment maintenance.
• Respond to lab messages and call back requests.
• Perform drug screening procedures.
• Document patient immunizations.
• Conduct physician referrals and service pre-certifications.
• Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation.

Education

Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent
