Job summary

Acadia Healthcare's Las Vegas Comprehensive Treatment Center is seeking a Substance Use Counselor to support patients with opioid use disorder. The role emphasizes individual and group counseling, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualified candidates hold CADC/CADC-I/CADC-S or LADC/LADC-S or LCPC/LPC/LCSW/LMFT and a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a social or health services field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in social or health services field required.
• Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings preferred.
• Familiarity with MAT (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone).
• Experience conducting individual and group counseling sessions for substance use recovery.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices (CBT, MI) and relapse prevention.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality individual and group counseling for opioid use disorder.
• Plan and document patient recovery and treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team and case managers.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
• Provide crisis intervention and case management as needed.
• Refer patients to additional programs or facilities as appropriate.
