Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse for a full-time role in a family medicine setting. The position includes rooming patients, performing labs, assisting with procedures, administering medications, and patient education within a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• LPN license in state; BLS certification within 45 days unless not required.
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patient for exam; obtain vitals and document chief complaint.
• Perform laboratory procedures (strep test, wound culture, specimen collection).
• Assist physicians with procedures and surgeries under supervision.
• Administer medications per orders; manage IV therapy within scope.
• Educate patients on tasks, treatment and self-care; coordinate follow-up.
• Document patient information accurately and communicate with the care team.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain equipment; assist with patient transport.
• Perform age-appropriate patient assessments and monitor status.
