Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking an experienced LPN for an outpatient clinic role focused on patient-centered nursing care. The nurse will assist with exams, administer medications, and coordinate follow-up care in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include vital signs, specimen collection, basic labs, and ensuring accurate documentation. Strong communication and organization are essential to support a diverse patient population across the lifespan.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited or approved Practical Nursing program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the practicing state.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 45 days unless exempted.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vitals and update medical info.
• Collect specimens and perform basic lab testing per infection control.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and minor surgeries.
• Administer meds, immunizations, injections, and IV therapy as permitted.
• Educate patients and coordinate follow-up care and referrals.
• Document patient information and communicate with the care team.
• Perform advanced procedures like EKGs, phlebotomy, spirometry, wound care.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms and supplies.
• Perform equipment maintenance and quality checks.
• Support quality improvement and patient-centered care.
