Job summary

Olmsted Medical Center is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for outpatient care in Northwest Family Medicine. This 1.0 FTE day shift position offers starting pay between $23.85 and $35.78 per hour, depending on experience.

The role includes on-site responsibilities at Olmsted Medical Center with competitive benefits and a 0.5 FTE or higher eligibility outline. External candidates are considered within the stated pay band and experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• BLS certification required.
• Previous clinic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts focused health assessments of individual patients by collecting data and comparing to normal findings and current health status.
• Reports changes in health status and responses to interventions to a registered nurse or licensed provider.
• Participates with other healthcare providers in developing and modifying a plan of care.
• Determines and implements appropriate interventions within a nursing plan of care or as delegated.
• Implements interventions ordered or prescribed by a licensed provider.
• Assigns nursing activities to other licensed practical nurses.
• Monitors nursing tasks for unlicensed assistive personnel and delegates as needed.
• Provides safe and effective nursing care delivery.
• Promotes a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Advocates for patient best interests and evaluates responses to interventions.
• Collaborates and communicates with other healthcare providers.
• Provides healthcare information to patients and contributes to policy development.
