Job summary

Inova Health – Obesity Medicine in Fairfax, VA is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time day position, with shifts 8:00–4:30 or 7:30–3:30.

You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision, document care activities, and maintain medical records. You’ll participate in unit teams, quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts to support patient safety and care.

Qualifications

• Education: Vocational / Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing.
• License: Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.
• Experience: 0 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process under the direction and supervision of the RN.
• Maintains and reviews patient medical records, notes and physician orders while documenting all patient care activities.
• Participates on unit teams, work groups and/or committees.
• Participates in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
