Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support outpatient services. The role balances nursing duties with administrative tasks to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate documentation.

As part of the clinical team, you will participate in assessments, coordinate care, and educate patients on medications and procedures, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to policies.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing required.
• High school diploma required.
• CPR certification required.
• Crisis prevention/intervention training required.
• Outpatient, behavioral health, or medical office experience preferred.
• Electronic health record experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, families, and visitors.
• Register, schedule, and check patients in and out of appointments.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, guarantor information, and required consents.
• Coordinate referrals, patient transfers, and follow up appointments.
• Maintain clinic supplies and coordinate ordering as necessary.
• Maintain medical records and ensure accurate placement of documentation within the EHR.
• Complete operational reports, metrics, and assigned administrative projects.
• Respond to crisis intervention and emergencies.
• Collect and document patient information, including admission and discharge data.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition and communicate concerns to the treatment team.
• Participate in patient assessments, treatment planning, and care coordination under supervision.
• Obtain and process physician orders and medication reconciliation as allowed by licensure.
• Administer medications and monitor for therapeutic and adverse effects.
• Educate patients regarding medications, treatments, and clinic processes.
• Facilitate communication between patients, providers, pharmacies, insurers, and external agencies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and advocate for patient rights.
