Kaweah Health’s Akers Clinic seeks an Outpatient Licensed Therapist to deliver direct assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients across age groups. The role emphasizes independent practice with a broad range of modalities and collaboration with primary care teams.

The candidate must hold LCSW/LMFT/LPCC credentials with at least two years of counseling experience. Bilingual abilities are preferred to support diverse communities within Visalia, CA.

Qualifications

The Outpatient Licensed Therapist practices independently and is familiar with and has expertise in a variety of treatment modalities. Works with patients across the spectrum of development including geriatrics, adults, adolescents, and children while demonstrating cross cultural competence. Majority of the position is spent in direct patient care.QUALIFICATIONSLicense /Certification Required:Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) Kaweah Health approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer Experience Required: Two or more years of experience providing child, adolescent and/or adult counseling. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Proficient in various treatment modalities including individual, group, and/or family systems. Proficient in treating patients across developmental stages. Ability to identify and implement treatment modalities that will best serve the patient’s needs. Provides appropriate and timely documentation of clinical encounters in patients’ medical record.
