Job summary

Kaweah Health is seeking an experienced leader to oversee day-to-day outpatient clinic operations across multiple sites. You will drive high-quality patient care, coordinate with physicians, and guide the clinic leadership team to achieve operational goals.

The role focuses on data analysis, process improvements, and adherence to Joint Commission, CMS, HRSA, and CDPH standards to ensure exceptional service delivery in a busy health system.

Qualifications

  • Current California RN license is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, nursing or equivalent.
  • Three to five years of operational supervisory experience in healthcare.
  • Outpatient clinics experience preferred (rural or FQHC) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day clinical operations for assigned clinics/service lines to support high-quality services and patient satisfaction.
  • Review clinic systems, concerns, and goals with physicians for all assigned clinics/service lines.
  • Serve as a core member of the outpatient clinic leadership team to promote goals and collaborate with staff.
  • Plan and manage department data/financial goals to achieve operational objectives.
  • Analyze complex data sets and reports to guide decisions and improve performance.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
  • License /Certification Required: Current CA RN license Kaweah Health approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer.
  • Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in business administration, nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
  • Experience Required: Three to five years of operational supervisory experience in healthcare.
  • Preferred: Supervisory experience in outpatient clinics (i.e. rural health clinics or federally qualified health centers), demonstrating the ability to lead and manage complex outpatient operations successfully.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for effective management of day-to-day clinical operations for each assigned clinics/service line in a manner that supports high quality services and satisfaction.
  • Reviews clinic systems, concerns, and operational/clinical goals with physicians for all assigned clinics/service lines.
  • Participates as a core member of the outpatient clinic leadership team to strengthen organizational capacity: promotes the outpatient network’s goals and philosophies to staff; participates in management committees; and actively cooperates with others in support of the assigned clinic’s goals.
  • Plans, budgets, organizes and manages the department’s data/financial goals to accomplish operational and strategic objectives.
  • Analyzes and interprets complex data sets and reports, i.e., variance analysis, financial/quality, population specific reports.
  • Participates in the creation of a work environment and culture that facilitates personal growth and well-being for all and fosters a harmonious working environment in which high quality, cost effective patient care, and customer services are consistently provided.
  • Performs personnel management functions including hiring, training, mentoring, performance reviews (PFPs), and counseling/disciplines.
  • Responsible for effectively handling patient complaints, patient problem solving, patient intervention, patient service recovery.
  • Conducts regular agenda driven monthly meetings with staff and providers to address issues, concerns, and to communicate mission of organization.
  • Focuses on quality improvement, utilization and reducing medical costs while incorporating the skills of provider partners whenever possible.
  • Responsible for establishing and updating written policies and procedures for clinics.
  • Supports quality program and contractual requirements while maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Acts as the clinical expert and is the resource person for Joint Commission.
  • Follows through with applications of new programs for expanded clinical services.

Additional Responsible for "out-reach" and coordination of services with outside agencies and community resources as they pertain to clinic services. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area. Knowledgeable of growth and development for all patient/family cultural, linguistic, spiritual, gender, and age specific needs. Able to effectively communicate and care for patient and family as reflected in the Plan for Provision of Care.

Pay Range

$51.22 -$76.84
