St. Francis-Emory Healthcare in Columbus, GA invites Internal Medicine physicians to join our Internal Medicine Residency Program as outpatient-focused GME faculty. The position offers patient care alongside residents, with clinical duties and teaching responsibilities.

Schedule is Monday–Friday with traditional hours; inpatient duties are limited. The ideal candidate is Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, with a passion for teaching and outpatient

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Passion for teaching and mentoring residents.
• Commitment to outpatient care and continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an outpatient setting, including walk-ins.
• Supervise and mentor Internal Medicine residents during their continuity clinic rotations.
• Collaborate with GME leadership to support educational goals and quality improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to resident education through bedside teaching and mentoring.
• Participate in program development and clinical workflow optimization.
