Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a dedicated board-certified academic internist to join the outpatient core faculty of our newly accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program at Wellstar Paulding Medical Center in Hiram, GA. The program will welcome our inaugural class of 10 interns in July 2027.

Qualifications

Board Certified in Internal Medicine (Board Eligible candidates will be considered if recently trained)
Interest in medical education and resident development
Prior GME experience preferred, though not required

Responsibilities

Outpatient supervision and teaching of Internal Medicine residents, including assessment and evaluation
Serve on the Clinical Competency Committee (CCC)
Deliver didactic lectures and participate in conferences and clinical case discussions
Support resident growth, wellness, and scholarly development
Contribute to curriculum development and program evaluation (PEC)
Engage in scholarly activity such as research or quality improvement initiatives
