Job summary

The Section of General Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine seeks an outpatient Internal Medicine physician to provide care at the McNair clinic and participate in teaching, research, and quality initiatives. This is an Assistant Professor role with patient-centered outpatient focus.

• MD or DO degree and board certification/eligibility.
• Texas Medical Board licensure.
• Board certification or eligibility for Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care for adults in outpatient settings.
• Supervise residents and medical students as needed.
• Coordinate with inpatient care teams for safe discharges.
• Participate in team meetings.
• Contribute to quality improvement and research projects.
• Maintain licensure and board certification requirements.
• Keep up with continuing medical education.
• Familiarize with the Epic EMR and document patient encounters.
• Ensure timely documentation to support billing and operations.
